What’s the Best Place for a Bus Stop?


In a recent article for Citylab, Aarian Marshall reports on McGill University doctoral candidate Ehab Diab and the transportation planner and associate professor Ahmed El-Geneidy study that suggests there’s a best—and cheapest corner for passenger pickups.

The ideal bus stop placement has been a matter of debate for many. Some believe the best place to put a bus stop is before an intersection and the traffic light while others suggest it should be located after a light.
